Day of Arafah is one of the sacred days in the Islamic calender. The day of Arafah is the day we reached in the plane of Arafah from Makkah and wukuf (stay) in Arafah, doing ibadah until sunset.
Wukuf in Arafah which is wajib in performing the ibadah of haj before travelling to Muzdalifah.
For all of us, who are not performing the ibadah haj or wukuf in Arafah, we are given the sunnah to perform our voluntary fasting on the 8th and 9th (Arafah Day) of Zulhijjah
There are many significances why we are recommended to fast on the day of Arafah which is, one of them is – Islam was perfected and completed on this special Day.
Fasting on the day of Arafah will give us immesurable reward such as:
• expiates our sin of the previous year and the coming year. Allahu Akbar
• our wishes will be granted as Allah descends (Felt Allah’s Presence and Rahmah) to Earth to hear our supplications and our duas. SubhanaLlah
• rewarded as though we have freed 100 slaves.
