Absolution Of Our Sin The Previous Year For Fasting On The Day Of Ashura
Allamdulillah the sacred month of Muharram, the month that symbolises migration or moving away from bad behavior and dirty actions to good behaviour and righteous actions is here for us to renew our resolution to be someone better in sha Allah.
Muharram is the 1st month of the Islamic calender. Its the Islamic new year, new resolution and more focussed and sincere ibadah for Allah. In sha Allah.
Muharram is one of the months which Islam made sacred, in which even during the pre-islamic era, the people were not allowed to be at war with each other and they need to be more respectful towards each other. They were also encouraged to do more ibadah for Allah.
Day of Ashura or the 10th of Muharram is the beginning of our ibadah in the 1st month of the Islamic calender.
Our nabi Muhammad (saw) used to fast on the 10th and intended to fast on the 9th the following year but our nabi went back to Allah before he could perform the saum. The 10th day of Muharram is also called the day of ashura and it is an absolution of our sins in the preceding year, Subhana Allah!
How Merciful is our Allah is to manifest in His Unique beautiful shariah law which one day can erase one year of our sin. Allahu Akbar!
May Allah swt give all of us thoufeeq and strength to fast in this sacred month and to be blessed with istiqamah on the straight path from the beginning of our Islamic calendar itself.
Ameen ameen ameeen ya Allah
