“Surely, We have sent it (the Holy Qur’an) down on a blessed night. Surely, We are the Warner. In this (night) judgment is given on all matters of wisdom (separately) by Our Command.” (Sura ad-Dukhan, 44:3-5)
Although the world has been plagued by the covid-19 virus which is making havoc in our lives but with the grace and mercy of Allah swt the entire mankind seek asylum in Dua and supplication to almighty Allah swt the One Who Created us and all and everything.
Everywhere the humans are strictly following the instructions of the precautions set by the relevant authorities to not to get infected and spread this epidemic by all means, In sha Allah.
Alhamdulillah we have been blessed to reach the month of Shaaban, the eighth month in the Islamic calender. This month is known as the month of records….
Before we took our breath in this dunya, our lives have been preordained (Qadha and Qadar) by the Creator. When our Ruh were blown into our embryo, when we were about 120 days in our mothers womb (may have different opinions about the duration)
Sacred Hadits teaches us that an angel is sent; he blows spirit into it and he is ordered to write four words: the livelihood (rizq), date of death (ajal), deeds of this creature and whether he will be a person of Paradise or Hell…” It is stated here that qadar is written at the same time as the spirit is blown. Both of them take place together.
From this we can think that all our life journey would have been read before our souls…… We would have agreed and made a promise before Allah swt that we would take good care of our souls before it would be returned back to Allah swt. SubhanaAllah.
If this is the fact then everything that we have today, was already revealed to us in our mothers womb, only thing that we don’t remember that …..When our lives journey has been read to us, we would have agreed to what was promised before us, only Allah swt knows. We agreed because we want to know what dunya is like, we want to experience the beauty of this dunya and all that it entails…..realizing or not realizing that the dunya is full of fitnah (lies) and we are here with Allah’s thaqdir for a purpose.
The night of records is the night when our preordained records are changed from bad to good and vice versa. Allah swt changes His Thaqdir when the slaves beg for it ,Subhanallah Allah swt is ever Merciful and full of Compassion…..
Our beloved prophet SollaLlahu alahi wa aalihi wa sallam used to fast during this month, on the days accordingly, because this blessed month is the month when Allah swt will change our destiny. So we have to beg Allah swt for the best of our future in dunia and akhirat especially in that night of Baraa’a- Nisfusha’ban.
This is the supplication for the nisfu shaaban
The Al mighty, Allah swt is ever Merciful may change our the Qadar when we beg for what we wish for, for example our Qadar -preordained ajal of death to be to prolonged to another date etc….
Allah swt knows everything so we beg ALLAH swt in this blessed night of Baraa’a for all the best for us all
It is the traditions of noble servants of Allah swt to increase their righteous deeds and concentrate on all the a’mal to please Allah swt and beg for the best in dunia and akhirat.
Let us strive and struggle in this blessed month at its blessed night of Baraa’a to practice whatever good deeds possible to be on our best behaviour and sow our seeds of righteous deed in this month in sha Allah.
